Description | Informs H. Elias Esquire that the exact procedure to be persued by analytical chemists called to enlist does not seem to have yet been laid down by the Board of Trade. However, suggests that Mr. Elias' course should be to inform the recruiting officer that he comes within the category of 'analytical, consulting or research chemist' and therefore is not liable for service. Also informs them that at present it is the duty of the recruiting officer to obtain the consent of the Royal Society to the enlistment of any analytical chemist who wishes, with his employers concurrence, to enlist. |
