|Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr. Arthur Schuster, Secretary of the Royal Society
|10 January 1916
|Asks that Dr. Arthur Schuster read the enclosed proof before it is sent to the printers [not specified, not enclosed]. On the topic of the analytical chemist question, agrees with Dr. Schuster that a definite course of procedure must be laid down by the Reserved Occupations Committee and communicated by them to the local recruiting officer and tribunals. Notes that at present it seems that there is no authorative body constituted to adjudicate upon the claims of individuals, and that this requires local examination od each individual case.
