With reference to the amount standing to the credit of the National Physical Laboratory (General Account), I should be glad if you would invest therefrom the sum of £6000 in three months' Treasury Bills, to expire not late than September 1st, 1916, and the sum of £8000 in six months' Treasury Bills, to expire not later than December 1st, 1916.'
