Date | 21 March 1916 |
Description | 'Dear Professor Vines, The two papers by Prof. Bose communicated by you, one on the Physiological Investigations with Petiole-pulvinus preparation of Mimosa pudica, the other on the Transmission of Death-Excitation in Plants, have been before the Council of the Society, and I am directed to inform you that the first paper has been passed for publication in the Proceedings. The Council, however, could not see their way to accepting the paper on "Transmission of Death-Excitation in Plants", and as it has not been read it is open to you to "withdraw" it under Standing Order 40, provided that the paper or a certified copy thereof remains in the possession of the Society.' |
