TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr. [Cresswell] Shearer, F.R.S
Date5 March 1917
DescriptionNotes that Dr. [Cresswell] Shearer's paper, 'On the role of the phagocyte in cerebrospinal meningitis' was published in the last number of the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. Explains that publications are dependent upon making up a number, and for this the Society had to wait until last month in the case of Dr. Shearer's paper. Furthermore, notes that physiological submissions have been particularly slow of late, owing to the war. Explains that these factors are responsible for the delay in publication of Dr. Shearer's paper.
