DescriptionInforms the Secretary that an intimation has been sent to the relevant Committee of the draft of the first clause of the outlines of procedure for correlating the functions of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Government Grant Committee. Notes the facts on the four persons who applied for grants from these departments as: Miss M. S. G. Breeze applied for £60 and has been awarded £10, Profesor W. [William] M. Thornton applied for £100 and has been awarded the full amount, and the applications of Mr. J. Ritchie and Mr. G. Whittle were both declined.
