|Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Frank [Watson] Dyson, FRS
|5 November 1918
|Informs Sir Frank [Watson] Dyson that he had not been aware that a prior arrangement had been made with Dr. [Arthur] Schuster with regards to Mr. Chapman's paper, 'Terrestrial magnetic variations', and that he returned the paper to Mr. Chapman with the usual accompanying note, stating that the paper remains the property of the Society. Notes that, if Sir Dyson give him personal assurance that he wishes the paper to be regarded as not having been communicated then he will rule the entry out.
