TitleCopy letter from Joseph John Thomson, President of the Royal Society; to Sir Sidney [Robert] Greville
Date3 April 1919
DescriptionRecalls that during the Presidency of Sir William Crookes his Majesty the King was approached on the subject of the admission of the Prince of Wales into the Fellowship of the Society, and it was decided this should be deferred until he reached a maturer age. Asks if it would now accord with the Prince of Wales' pleasure to be elected into the Society, as per the tradition.
