Title | Copy letter from unknown correspondent, [Secretary of the Royal Society]; to Professor EW [Ernest William] MacBride, FRS |
Date | 26 February 1920 |
Description | Advises he will receive a formal communication recording the resolution from the Zoology Committee, but that the Council of the Royal Society sticks to the 24 page limit for the 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' 'with great tenacity' and they have referred it back to the Zoology Committee 'with a broad hint they will not let it go forward for the Proceedings at its present length.' [Author is a Secretary of the Royal Society, but his signature is not visible. Secretaries at the time were Sir William Bate Hardy, FRS and Sir James Hopwood Jeans, FRS]. |
