Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Horace] Lamb, FRS |
Date | 22 June 1920 |
Description | Informs Professor [Horace] Lamb that the Council agreed to the formation of a National Mathematics Committee at their last meeting. Notes, however, that there was little time to consider Professor Lamb's report in which he suggests that the Society take steps to join the International Union of Mathematics. Suggests that such details be referred to the Committee when it is formed as opposed to putting the report forth for further consideration by Council, and asks if Professor Lamb concurs. |
