Title | Copy letter from William Bate Hardy, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Frederick [William] Andrewes, Chairman of the Physiology Committee and FRS |
Date | 20 January 1921 |
Description | Informs Sir Frederick [William] Andrewes that a paper has been communicated by the Lord Rayleigh, 'A theory showing the connecting link between the emotions and their expression in tone', by Sterling and Mackinlay. Notes that at first he thought it unsuitable, however, at a second glance he sees that it is a sequel to a classic paper on the subject by Manuel Garcia, published in the 'Proceedings' in 1855. Suggests [Charles Samuel] Myers as a referee. |
