TitleCopy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook, Chairman of the Physics Committee and FRS
Date6 December 1920
DescriptionInforms Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook that they have received a paper by the Lord Rayleigh, 'Double refraction and crystalline structure of silica glass'. Explains that it is estimated to print at 15 pages of the 'Proceedings', however, that it looks to be of extreme interests to physicists. Asks if it should be passed under Standing Order 43 without going to a referee. Also notes that the report of the second referee, [Frank Edward?] Smith, on the Tucker and Paris paper is entirely favourable and asks if it should be passed for publication in the 'Philosophical Transactions'.
