Description | Writes of the preliminary meeting that is being held in connection with the approaching meeting of the General Conference of Weights and Measures under the Metric Convention of 1875. Explains that the intention is to consider what attitude should be adopted towards the propsal that the scope of the Metric Convention and International Bureau of Weights and Measures be extended to cover electrical units and possibly others. Informs Sir Richard [Tetley] Glazebrook that he, Professor [Percy Alexander] MacMahon and Sir Arthur Schuster have been appointed to represent the Society. |
