Explains that their offer to do so was contingent on sufficient funds being received by May 15th and, as these have not been received, the Society are no longer bound by their offer. Further notes that the Society received word from the American National Research Council indicating that no support can be expected from the United States, and that the Zoological Society intend on setting free for independent sale volumes of their 'Zoological Record'. |
