TitleCopy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Ralph Allen] Sampson, FRS
Date12 July 1921
DescriptionIs glad to hear Professor [Ralph Allen] Sampson is willing to serve on the Advisory Committee for the Edinburgh Meteorological Office. Also writes of the L. C. Martin paper, 'The physical meaning of spherical aberration', that he sent to Professor Sampson for report. Notes that he is the third referee assigned to this paper, as the first two disagreed, with one arguing it is suitable for publication by the Society and the other arguing it would be better published by a technical Society. Asks for Professor Sampson's opinion on the matter.
