Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Oliver [Joseph] Lodge, FRS |
Date | 23 September 1921 |
Description | Refers to Dr. Guy Barlow's and H. B. Keene's, 'The experimental analysis of sound in air and water' and Dr. Barlow's 'The theory of analysis of an electric current by periodic interruption', both of which Sir Oliver [Joseph] Lodge communicated to the Society. Explains that all reports of these papers recommend publication in a considerably condensed form, and that one report suggested publishing the papers as Part I and Part II of the same communication. Asks Sir Lodge to enquire whether the authors would consider this possibility of amalgamation. |
