Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to [Charles Thomas] Heycock Esquire, Chairman of the Chemistry Committee and FRS |
Date | 10 November 1921 |
Description | Informs Mr. [Charles Thomas] Heycock that the referee reports of the paper by Professor [William Arthur] Bone, A. Pearson, E. Sinkinson and W. Stockings, 'Researches on the chemistry of coal, Part I', were both favourable, though one suggested a slight condensation. Asks if it can be passed under Standing Order 43. Regarding the paper by T. Barrat and J. W. Lewis, 'The heat developed by the action of caustic soda on cotton', explains that his uncertainty relates to the methods and results and whether they are sufficiently general to warrant publication by the Society. Asks Mr. Heycock to nominate a referee to report on this matter. |
