Also informs him that they have receive two new short papers, one by [William] Lawrence Balls, 'Apparatus for determining the standard deviation mechanically', and one by [Richard Tetley] Glazebrook, 'The specific heat of air, steam and carbon dioxide'. Asks what should be done with each.
