Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Sir Dugald Clerk, FRS |
Date | 7 March 1923 |
Description | Refers to the paper by A. H. Gibson, 'The rate of heat transmission from the working fluid in an internal combustion engine', that Sir Dugald Clerk communicated to the Society. Explains that it has been to two referees, who agree that the technical part of the paper would be more suited to publicaiton by a Technical Society, and that to be published by the Society would require a significant reduction of this part. Asks Sir Clerk to enquire whether the author would be willing to reduce his paper in accordance with this suggestion. |
