Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Horace] Lamb, Chairman of the Mathematics Committee and FRS |
Date | 12 March 1923 |
Description | Informs Professor [Horace] Lamb that he has finally received [Geoffrey Ingram] Taylor's reports on [John] Joly's papers and on Miss [Nina M.] Hosali's paper. Explains that his reports on the former two papers are adverse and suggests sending a softened copy of Taylor's comments to the author in hope that he might withdraw them. Explains that his report on Miss Hosali's paper is neutral, recommeding neither course, and asks Professor Lamb if it should go to a third referee. |
