Title | Copy letter from James Hopwood Jeans, Secretary of the Royal Society; to Professor [Owen Willans] Richardson, FRS |
Date | 8 September 1923 |
Description | Reports that [Harold] H. Potter's paper 'Some Experiments on the Proportionality of Mass and Weight' has been sent to a referee, who advises publication if it is significantly cut down, and asks whether the author would be prepared to reduce it this much. Suggests either Potter cut the paper down or the Society sends it to a second and third referee, even consults the whole Physics Committee, and asks Professor [Owen Willans] Richardson to communicate this choice to Potter. |
