Description | Asks for Henry Cort Harold Carpenter's opinion on the matter of financial help for work done on Iron Alloys Research Committee. Asks Carpenter of this as he is the representative of the Royal Society on the Committee and suggests an offer of £500 from John Dewrance's own fund, this is kept for research of this nature. James Hopwood Jeans does mention that he has no special knowledge of the matter and asks if Carpenter will approve of this suggestion and to give advice in the form of a letter to be put before the Council on 3 April. |
