Title | Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor William Rutherford, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 9 February 1893 |
Description | Council are discussing a subject index for the 'Catalogue of Scientific Papers'. Foster wonders if Rutherford uses the Royal Society's catalogue for physiology, as compared for instance, with Hofmann and Schwalbe, or Virchow's 'Bericht'. They wonder if Rutherford would prefer that the Royal Society should spend money continuing the physiology in the catalogue as at present, or take steps for getting someone from Hofmann and Schwalbe to prepare a physiological bibliography for 10 or 25 years, or 50, according to author and subject. Asks for a reply to reach him at Shelford not later than the 15th. |
