DescriptionWith reference to the Secretary's letter of 20th February, M.1477, Rix asks the Secretary to convey to the Lord's of Admiralty, the thanks of the President and Council for the promise of a gunboat to convey the eclipse expedition up the Salum River, and a vessel to convey the party from Bathurst to Tenerife. The assistance given to this important scientific inquiry is highly appreciated.
