DescriptionRix is instructed by the President and Council to forward the accompanying four proof copies of the second report of Messrs Frankland and Ward to the Royal Society Water Research Committee 'On the vitality of pathogenic organisms in water', dealing with 'The vitality and virulence of Bacillus anthracis and its spores in potable waters'. Requests that Gaskell lay these before the Royal Commission on Metropolitan Water Supply.
