Title | Copy letter from Francis Alexander Towle, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Prof. [Ralph Allen] Sampson, FRS |
Date | 25 July 1928 |
Description | Replies to questions regarding Christian Huygens and associates. Sends a volume of the 'Annales Academiol' stating that the first article, 'the Oratio' will concern Huygen's lenses. Confirms that Christian Huygens never uses a small 'h' in the signatures of his name. States that Constantine is not a Fellow and no relevant information can be given. States the difference between the Charterbook signatures and the Lens Signatures is that the latter seem to be more rounded. Gives details as to how 2 of the lenses were acquired. |
