Description | Updates on matters of Royal Society business.
Rix says he is sorry for the 'lumbargo on all accounts', and states that they can decide who is to present the addresses when the time comes.
He explains that they are going to Switzerland via Dieppe, but due to having worked 12 hour days for two weeks, they will break the journey with a week's rest in Brighton before crossing. So, he will be available to visit London between the 1st and 5th August, or he can travel to Cambridge the next Monday or Tuesday, and then add an extra day at the end of his holiday if that would suit him better.
Poulton would prefer Werner & Winter of Frankfurt to do his coloured plates rather than the Cambridge Engraving Company, and so Rix asks if he should sent to Germany for an estimate. The circular to Council is noted as not having been sent out, as Rix is waiting for Dr Armstrong's original with additional signatures. Rix asks if if the matter of accomodation for diagrams was settled, as Mr Keen has instructions for a new table, but no diagram for accommodation. He also asks to whom he should refer Noel Paton's paper. |
