| Description | Foster has been directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society, to convey through the Secretary of the Foreign Office to the Earl of Rosebery their thanks for the assistance he granted to the Eclipse Expedition, and in particular, his procurement of facilities on French and Brazilian territories. Foster states that in both places the expedition was successful, with the results likely to be of great value.
He states that the Earl of Rosebery 'may rest satisfied that he has given material help to an important scientific inquiry'. |
