TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to T Wheeler, 19 Grove Road, Brixton
Date26 October 1893
DescriptionFoster reports that, at the first meeting of Council following receipt of Wheeler's letter announcing the death of Walter White, he was directed by the President and Council of the Royal Society to write to Wheeler to assure him of how much the Society has appreciated the long faithful service which White gave to the Society. He also states that, while the Fellows who remember White will decrease, the records of the Society will always show 'how valuable his labours were'.
