Description | Rix writes with regard to the statement of account between the Franklin Institute and the Royal Society for 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' supplied in the early part of the year, a copy of which they gave to Ransome at Michaelmas. He asks that Ransome pay the balance of three pounds as early as possible, as their annual audit is in progress and they wish to settle outstanding accounts before they close the books for the year.
Rix points out that in their last letter of 20 March, Ransome promised to inform the Franklin Institute of how much they owed the Royal Society, but that they have not heard from him since then. He encloses a statement of the account [not included]. |
