Title | Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Francis Galton, Fellow of the Royal Society |
Date | 22 November 1893 |
Description | 'Dear Sir, Dr [Philip Lutley] Sclater sends a memorandum this morning in the following words: - "I enclose an autobiography of Dr Rae which Mr Markham has sent me for Mr F. Galton, who is preparing an obituarial notice of Dr Rae for the Royal Society. Kindly let Mr Galton have it." Dr Foster (who called me in this morning) thinks that the inclosed had better, therefore, be sent to you, notwithstanding what you said to him the other day as to Mr Markham withdrawing his objections. Yours truly, Herbert Rix Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. |
