TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Henry Woodward, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date6 December 1893
Description'Dear Dr Woodward,
Mr Mallard Reade's certificate was resuspended on November 10th at your request. Inclosed herewith I send you two supplemental certificate forms. I am sadly afraid you did not carefully study the revised statutes, if you are unaware of the existence of these forms!*
I am, yours truly
Herbert Rix
Asst Sec RS [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]

* Perhaps you do not know that the dear old Statute which authorised the President to keep on his hat in the presence of the Fellows, has been abrogated. I almost shed tears over that'.
