TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir Archibald Geikie, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date15 December 1893
DescriptionRix reminds Geikie that he undertook an obituary notice of Dr James Croll in January 1891, and another of Sir Andrew Crombie Ramsay in 1892, but that neither seem to have been published. He asks that Geikie explain the situation, and notes that it was because of an oversight that he had not been asked for the manuscripts earlier.

He also states that there were several foreigners for whom Geikie was to obtain obituaries both last year and this year, namely W E Weber, L Kronecker, J L Quatrefages, J S Stas, and E E Kummer. Rix asks if these are in hand, or whether he should refer them to the new Foreign Secretary to the Royal Society.
