Professor Lockyer remarks upon the proof plate which you have done for him that there is a coarseness about the new plate which was quite absent from those of the star spectra which you did before; also that the tone is not so good. Will you kindly let me know by Wednesday what the cost would be of a second attempt? Our publishing Committee will want this information before I give any further order in the matter.
