|Title||Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Edward Albert Schafer, Fellow of the Royal Society|
|Date||24 April 1894|
Dr Foster has handed me your letter of to-day's date and desires me to say that he is inclined to agree with you that whatever the interest of the exhibit it doubtful whether it would be altogether suitable and attractive. At the same time he is obliged to you for your willingness to serve the Society if the exhibit had been suitable. I am sending an invitation card to Dr G Oliver as suggested.
I am, yours truly,
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
