He asks that if she returns to London before May 10th that she call at the Royal Society at 4pm to see their Treasurer, if she wishes to become a candidate for the post. If her tour will not be over before then, Rix suggests it would not be worthwhile to return on that account alone, and they can perhaps form a judgement from the information she sends to them. In any case, he asks that she write before the 10th to let him know if her candidature should stand. |
