TitleCopy letter from Michael Foster, to Miss Francis H Lowe, 4 Vernon Chamber, Bloomsbury
Date6 May 1894
Description'Dear Madam,
The Assistant Secretary has been quite right in his action. We do not issue any Press Invitations at all to the Soirée itself. All we do is to send invitations to certain papers for a "Press View" of objects &c., exhibited, in the afternoon of the day of the Soirée. Last year, the Assistant Secretary obtained leave to offer you a ticket for this Press View but this he tells me you refused. I can authorise him to offer you a like ticket for the Press View this year, though such a course is exceptional, but more than that I cannot do.
(signed) Yours faithfully,
