TitleCopy letter from the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society [Herbert Rix], to the Lord Mayor

Description'The Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society presents his compliments to the Lord Mayor and begs leave to acknowledge receipt of a further letter from Mr James S. Wilson, relating to the Jackson-Harmsworth Polar Expedition, together with a cutting from the "Daily Telegraph" of July 4th. The Assistant Secretary notes that Mr Wilson expresses the opinion in his letter that your Lordship should have an answer from the President of the Royal Geographical Society upon this subject, and he has accordingly forwarded these documents to the President of that Society'.
