TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Librarian, St George's Public Library, Buckingham Palace Road, S.W.
Date31 July 1894
Description'Dear Sir,
I regret that your application of April 27th has only lately been considered, the Committee having been prevented from meeting earlier in the session. You are mistaken in supposing that it is our habit to make grants to Free Public Libraries, and the Committee find themselves unable to make an exception in the case of the Library over which you preside.
I am, yours truly,
H Rix
Asst. Sec. R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.
