DescriptionHopes to obtain the loan of a few tents from the military stores at Barbados for use by the expedition to Grenada to observe the total eclipse of the sun in August next. Requests: ten double bell tents, or six double bell tents and four marquee tents. The expedition leaves England on 29 July by mail steamer and will call at Barbados for one day from whence they will immediately be taken to Grenada in a man-of-war. The tents should be returned early in September.
