DescriptionLists the names of the observers in the expedition party proceeding to Grenada to observe the solar eclipse of 29 August: J[oseph] Norman Lockyer in charge, Captain L Darwin, E W Maunder, Reverend S J Perry, Dr A Schuster, Professor J E Thorpe, and H H Turner. Mr G Murray will accompany the expedition to make investigations in natural history. Asks the Secretary to inform the Captain of the man-of-war that will convey the party from Barbados to Grenada, of the names of the observers and to give such assistance as he can afford.
