TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Secretary, the Royal Society of Mauritius
Date2 February 1887
DescriptionLast October the Royal Society received from the Executive Commissioner at the Colonial Exhibition a letter applying for the publications of the [Royal] Society, and an accompanying parcel of transactions from the Royal Society of Mauritius. The application was brought before the Library Committee at their last meeting and Rix has been directed to point out that the Royal Society of Mauritius already receives the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. If the publishers fail to post with regularity Rix asks the Secretary to write direct to the Society to let them know. The Committee do not find themselves able at present to add the Royal Society of Mauritius to the ever increasing list of Institutions receiving the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' as well as the 'Proceedings'.
