Description | Regarding Tachini's letter of 27 February [1886] regarding an application for missing parts of the 'Philosophical Transactions' of the Royal Society. The committee consider the case one of volumes mislaid and the committee were less inclined to grant duplicate copies as there are still two other libraries in Rome where the 'Transactions' can be counsulted: the Reale Accademia dei Lincei and Società Italiana delle Scienze. Rix notes the evidence that the missing volumes were dispatched to Tachini's agents, Messrs Williams & Norgate, and states price for the missing parts. |
