TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Henry Woodward, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date2 January 1895
DescriptionWoodward did sign Dr Bell's certificate and it shall be suspended. The presence of ladies at meeting is not recognised by statute, but ladies who have communicated papers have always hitherto been invited to attend the meeting and have usually been invited to speak 'although they have not yet found courage to do so'.

The grant of £300 was to Woodward and Dr [Charles Immanuel] Forsyth Major conjointly and if Forsyth Major does not send in a report they shall certainly expect one from Woodward. A report is due on or before 31st January.

Rix shall not forget 15th February and wishes Woodward and family a Happy New Year.
