Rix sends this by leave of the editor of the 'Chemical News' for correction and return with the view of its subsequent publication either in the 'Transactions [of the Royal Society]' or the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]', as in all probability Lord Rayleigh's [John William Strutt's] paper will be followed by the report of the discussion.
