TitleCopy letter from Herbert Rix, to W Cassie, Royal Holloway College, Egham, Surrey
Date18 July 1895
DescriptionIn answer to Cassie's letter of the 12th February which owing to great and continuous urgent business was only last week considered by the appropriate Committee, Rix regrets to say that the Committee have been unable to recommend the Council to add the Holloway College to the already too lengthy list of institutions entitled to receive the publications of the Society as issued

Rix is entitled to offer for acceptance a set of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' from 1850 to 1890 inclusive, so far as the state of the stock of the Society may render this possible. Rix is also instructed to sent a copy of Dr Lendenfeld's valuable monograph on the Horny Sponges. Unless he hears to the contrary these volumes will be looked up during the recess and sent by rail to Egham.
