TitleCopy letter from A H White, to Monsieur le Minister de l'Instruction Publique, Rome
Date22 August 1895
DescriptionWhite acknowledges receipt of the parcel of Indici e Cataloghi forwarded by the Minister to the Royal Society of which the Minister advised them in his letter.

While thanking him for his courtesy in making the presentation, the Officers regret to be unable to incorporate the collection in the Society's Library as the library is confined to books upon natural science and their space is so restricted that they are unable to find accommodation for books outside this category.

Asks if the Minister would prefer them to return the parcel or to pass it on to some other Institution, to which they might wish it to be presented. White thanks the Minister for the offer of future Indici as issued but for the same reason they must decline.
