TitleCopy letter from an unknown correspondent, to the Direct Photo-Engraving Company, 9 Bransbury Park, N.
Date12 February 1896
DescriptionThe estimate given by the Direct Photo-Engraving Company appears to be based on a misunderstanding, as they did not want them to place one figure on each plate, but to arrange the figures onto plates and estimate the total number of plates this will create, which is certain to be less than 53. They request an amended estimate with the least possible delay, and note that if they must have the originals, they will need to telegraph for them.

They further note that the explanations of the figures are not to go on the plates, though they seem to have included the cost of this, though only the head-lines and the numbers of the figures are to be included.
