Description'Dear Sir,
Your card of invitation for your Jubilee Dinner addressed to Lord Kelvin as President of this Society has been received here, and, before sending it on to him, I think you may like to know that Lord Kelvin has been succeeded in the Presidency of the Society by Sir Joseph Lister, and in the circumstances ^you^ may wish to change the form of the invitation. If, however, you intend it for Lord Kelvin personally, I will send it on to him on hearing from you.
I am, yours faithfully,
Robt Harrison
