TitleCopy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Andrew Russell Forsyth, Fellow of the Royal Society
Date14 October 1896
DescriptionThe work that the cataloguers are currently engaged on is a supplement to the existing catalogue up to 1883, and is expected by itself to form a book of considerable dimensions, possibly three volumes. The supplements has not yet reached the stage of sorting into authors name but this is expected to be begun in the new year when the Cayley titles might be separately sorted out. Harrison presumes that once this work is complete they will go on cataloguing from 1883 to the end of the century when the new International Cataloguing body, which the recent conference proposed to call into existence, will take up the work.
